Professor and Chief of Retina at the Byers Eye Institute at Stanford University School of Medicine

He is internationally recognized for his pioneering telemedicine for the prevention of blindness in premature and term infants and establishing the SUNDROP network.

His entrepreneurial work centers around telemedicine applications in eye health: he founded and was Chairman of Placid0 until its recent acquisition in 2021, served on the Board of directors of 1-800 Contacts until its acquisition by KKR in 2020.

Dr. Moshfeghi and Dr. Kumm formed Pr3vent to develop AI for detecting retinal and ocular abnormalities in healthy newborns.
